uh, that's definitely why multiple countries are suffering from mass famines, yes
virtually
well okay then mister literal

you're still vastly oversimplifying it. your statements of
plants can be planted and regrown at virtually any time you know that right
again, we can grow enough plants to feed us and then some.
aren't even remotely accurate.

Disgusting stuff coming up

Unlike other animals that eat and then poop out the seeds mixed with fertilizer we usually put it in toilets. If we eat more of these seeds and flush them the amount will slowly drop.

Alright so I dont remember the exact statistics of this but it takes a whole bunch of plants to feed one animal that will then only feed a few people. If the plants went directly to the consumer then it would be a lot more efficient.

what would also be efficient is to kill everything on the planet and then nothing needs to be eaten because its all dead
very efficient

its idiotic to say "well we have a food crCIA and can't get enough food from meat"

the amount of food it takes to feed a cow is tremendous. the amount of food that cow will produce is very little. people eat meat because they like it-- don't try to justify it with some morale reason.

I believe only 10% of the energy produced by a living thing is used by the next level on a food chain.
Unfortunately plants actually do not produce as much energy as animals.

Let me try to make this simple 1 animal eats 10 plants. The next animal would eat 5 of the previous animal because it produces more energy

(Yes I'm aware this is not mathematically correct)

Then we can kill the cow and not have to feed it tremendous amounts of food.

... what other reason is there to be a vegetarian?
sorry, that wasn't phrased very well

the distinction I meant to make was people who make a personal choice not to eat meat vs people who think eating meat is wrong and nobody should do it

Then we can kill the cow and not have to feed it tremendous amounts of food.
that is completely missing the point-- i said it was stupid to say it was more efficient to kill animals than farm. i didn't say we should stop feeding animals.

I'm a vegetarian.
I was omnivorous for a year when I was four, never done it again.

I look forward to the future when all non-human life is eradicated and we use machines to produce our food. Machines have the capability to be much more efficient than plants and animals.

agreed, veal is great so i'm willing to compromise.
