Author Topic: Windows 10 Unveiled  (Read 2011 times)

A first look at Windows 10 was Unveiled today. It's like a combination of the old Windows 7 and below layout combined with the style of Windows 8. I'm kinda happy they're sort of reverting back, but also disappointed that they didn't continue progress with Windows 8 and make Windows 9. At least 8 users get to upgrade for free.

can 8.1 users upgrade?

i read elsewhere that 7 and 8 users get free upgrades. it may even be automatic.

I's be ok with the stubborn 7 users getting free upgrades considering they think 8 is garbage.

i'm a 7 user and the only reason i'm not on 8 is because my family has barely any cash

well it may depend on the tier-version you have. i mean 7 is older now and i dont think they would give 10 to them all for free lol

So they make new icons for explorer but not recycle bin or task manager?
Are they stupid?

Assuming the OS is still in alpha/beta stages, it doesnt really matter if the new icons are finished yet.

if i buy 8 before this comes out will i still be able to upgrade for free?

completely true, but I'm mad that it takes them three years to make a new operating system and we still have a trash can from windows vista
