Oh man. I've made a lot of elaborate excuses before. I remember when I was 12 or 13, I kept giving a girl at church reverse death threats (saying that she should kill me, joking around my creepy social behavior, I still "wth" myself to this day). My parents found one that I had dropped in the van and a big issue arose. I basically just made up that she was my friend and we were playing a game. I made up a big list of rules for the game trying to sound logical to the point that I could confuse them to the point that they'd have to accept it. I was proud of myself until they revealed that our ex-pastor was gunned down and murdered during a sermon just the day before, and that I should never joke about terrorism.
