Gmod is being stupid

Whenever I open Gmod, ofc it works, but after about 15 minutes it just randomly shuts off without warning.

I really want to play.

delete all addons and try again. if it doesn't work, delete the game from your hdd and then play with a fresh reinstall. it's most likely some sort of conflicting addon.
post your computer specs, too, that couldn't hurt either.

I reset my PC's HDD completely at one point when it was infected with a virus that couldnt be fixed, and then I reinstalled everything.

It was doing this before and now

in other words not much, maybe verify your game cache?
