gay marriage was illegal
then some people were like "LETS SLAP THEM IN THE FACE AND MAKE IT EVEN MORE ILLEGAL BY BANNING IT THROUGH A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT"
that failed, then less than a year later it was legalized

This is some really weird logic
1. gay marriage being legalized in your state will not spontaneously create more gays. it doesn't work that way. your risk of being hit on (which in itself already seems like a bigoted inference but i'll stay out of it) will not increase
2. it being legalized in your state affects you no more than it being legalized in other states unless you are actively looking for gay weddings
