yo no hablo español????

Whenever my fellas and I play S4 with Mexicans (or the occasional Spaniard) I always have to play interpreter back and forth. It is a struggle.

Occasionally I will just give up and leave them to fend for themselves.

words without accents in spanish mean very different things than their accented counterparts
if you ask your dad "¿Cuantos anos tiene(s ud.)?"
you are asking him how many star fishes he has
yeah but if you're not braindead you can tell what's being said based on context

My roommate is speaking mexican right now.
Please no more.

I don't get this world culture multilingual stuff some people like to promote. If we all just buckled down and spoke the same language, then it would be no trouble buying a double sided carrot wherever you go on the go in foreign lands, like streetside vendors. Even if it's the chinkiest, most bucktoothed inbred guy selling it on a street corner in Bangkok or something, at least you both'll understand each other.

I'd say the world language should be a Bantu one with an exclamation point in its name. They have lots of sounds so you won't have any more "engrish" or "cunniringus" because everyone will know a whole richard of sounds and be able to speak them. Everything would be better this way; forget you if you disagree.
I mean if you want to go teach 7 billion people the same language go right ahead

Though I only know a bit of spanish. Even 3rd year ACP this year yet I don't feel I'm learning much

I'm taking a Spanish class. But like all American forgiven language classes, it'll be counterproductive because I'll forget it due to lack of usage in real life.
Oh well. at least it looks good on a resume. Even if you don't ever use it...

i'm going to have spanish next trimester

Lo siento, mi buen amigo, pero nos hablan Inglés.

Languages like Esperanto and Interlingua were made with the intention of being ''languages that everyone in the world will speak''. They failed though. But Esperanto is very famous right now, and it's very easy to learn even if you already know spanish.

The problem is breaking people away from their cultures that their languages are so very based on.

''Culture'' in a language can mean the terms included in it, depending of the language. For example, in mexican spanish there are terms as ''wey, cabrón'', in chilean spanish there are terms as ''weón, fome'' and you can see that in Mexico people will not speak as people in Chile does & viceversa. Another example, if you already speak mexican spanish and you want to go to Russia, you can perfectly learn russian and its terms while keeping the mexican terms. If i'm not wrong we can see that there's not much problems.

OP's sig is in Japanese/Chinese
