Well the kid is 4, I doubt he knows what heroin is. I haven't read the article yet, but I'm going to assume that his gangster dad/mom's boyfriend/older brother/step brother either gave them to him or had a stash and the kid got into it.
Police say the girl unknowingly brought the heroin to the center when her mother gave her a different backpack because the girl's regular backpack had been ruined by the family pet. Police say the backpack contained nearly 250 packets of heroin, totaling nearly four grams, all labeled "Slam."
