'Why is gay marriage so frowned upon by many? I'm a Christian and take religion fairly seriously. What's the big deal anyway?'
Well, if you were to really were to take it seriously, you would know that in the Bible it clearly states that homoloveuality isn't the correct thing to do (Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6, etc.). Christians (
or the name "Protestants", as so many non-Christians call Evangelicals/Pentecostals even though we aren't Protestants) do not reject homoloveuals,
but we do not support them. What I mean by that is that if we support them, we are only supporting the sin/bad in the world. If we reject them, then were is the love of God in us (We'd be hypocrites)? Homoloveuals are the same as a person who smokes weed or as a person who prostitutes themselves (they both practice sin). People who apart themselves from that practice of sin has a chance of being saved.... and so on.
I'm gonna end off there because it'll end off being a complete sermon, but I just wanted to clear that up.
