Nothing happens
No, It's not my internet.
No, It's not on the other side of the world, it's 20 feet away

Stop trying to say where development should go. You don't have a say in that.

You need to post your console log. How are you connected to this server? Is it running on the same computer? Is it on a different computer on your LAN?
