Should push the camera close to the player

You should also use darker colours and darker environment setting. (Just for effect) But that's just my opinion.

I could recommend that the wall above the doors has no raycasting on it that way your camera won't zoom in.

Tried that, but then the doors would zoom in too. Adding no raycasting to the doors makes them not function.

If you gotta it'd be way better to just use a 1x1x4 or whatever and just give the ol' dissapear that brick fade in another brick majig a dig

I actually tried doing this, my problem is bots have a varied reaction time

What I find people could do to use this is by initializing zone bricks.
Isn't it possible to event a zone brick into telling a bot to go attack/be attracted to the play upon entering that zone?

aw shoot, you beat me to it

i was making a hotline miami-inspired dm that takes place inside a mall from the 80's

When i started watching this, i kept thinking "Press E dammit, stop putting the gun away." and going OCD about that for the rest of the vid. only works in minigames with painting disabled

Other than that it looks pretty solid.
Also with the door problem, just make it and the block above no raycasting, and make the door open on player touch.
Or
get frameless doors
