Author Topic: Get Arma: Cold War Assault, If you help me out here  (Read 1020 times)

My problem is, My Laptop won't turn on.

My HP Pavilion G6 (http://www.cnet.com/products/hp-pavilion-g6/specs/) won't technically turn on. When I press the power button the fan starts on a bit then stops. The caps lock blink code turns on after.

I've check the blink code, And it said it was a cpu failure, so I bought a new cpu. I installed the cpu again and it still did the same.

What to do?

(first one to provide a successful answer will receive a copy of Arma cold war assault on steam from me)

me too :o
where did i get that

Already have it :/
do you really think everyone wants to know this

Remove your battery and unplug the charger, hold the power button down for 30+ seconds, plug the computer in and try to turn it on and then put the battery back in after like a half hour.
This process lets all power drain from the motherboard and any other component in the system.

This is the best bet. You might just have some extra charge in there that your computer can't handle.

If it isn't that, you might just have forgeted your motherboard up in some kind of way and it is unable to reach the BIOS/Boot Strap.
You might even made the problem even worse when installing the CPU, you touched the internal parts without touching any metal.

and i don't want arma.

Then just try to do what Raven said.

What he's basically saying is the laptop version of "did you unplug and plug your computer back in?"

wait, after I press 30 secs, Should I not plug anything back in until 30 mins, or dont put the battery back in after 30 min

Only plug the charger in, wait a while before plugging the battery in

If it doesn't even accept the charger (the light doesn't turn on), check to see if the charger's light turns off.
Then you got yourself even a bigger problem that I couldn't even fix.

you mean the power button light right?

you mean the power button light right?
No, I mean like the light that turns on when your laptop charges.

If it doesn't, then check the battery light to see if it overcharged and turned off.
