Author Topic: what is up with this ''late'' stuff  (Read 1571 times)

Well i see it this way.

Freek flipped out on him for saying late withing listening to the explanation for it being late or his apology for what he said.

And Derontchi sounded like a richard saying it was late.
At the same time, Derontchi didn't post his apology or explanation until everything started back firing on him.
To me "Go forget yourself, cunt" isn't a totally over the top response to Derontchi's "Lil' late bud" post.

If it was a "Go kill yourself" or "Go die in a fire", that's a little overkill.

It really is, If you said "Man this is late" and all the sudden every people ever kicked down their doors and started screaming "Go forget yourself, cunt!" that would be a bit over the top.

You go on your favourite forum to let other people know about something you found on the internet, something you think is quite interesting/funny and you're relatively well invested in it. You make a thread to expose your peers to this thing that you like and what's the first reply you get?

"late".

You're told that it doesn't matter if it's funny or if it's interesting; you're told that none of that matters simply because it's not recent and it's implied that you've done something wrong that is worthy of ridicule and insult, your very intention of discussing something with your peers is thrown out the window by the very first person who posts in your thread.
I think it's perfectly reasonable to get pissed off in such a situation, to any degree in fact, so long as you don't make yourself look like a complete tool or violate any rules.

-snip-
I see your point its just that i find it rude and uncalled for, Freek could of told him "How is it late?" and left it at that.

The problem isn't the fact that it's late, the thing that causes people to respond to such people with hostility is what I mentioned in my last post. It's basically the same thing as if you were talking to some friends about your favourite (acceptable) hobby and one of them just suddenly said "NOBODY CAAAAAAAAAAARES!", the impact and emotions involved are almost exactly the same

If you post a video of something popular that is old now, everyone has already seen it, so what's even the point?

Freek is just a rude starfish who doesn't know how to not blow up at people

Not everyone stares at a computer screen twelve hours a day.

seriously though, "late" posts dont bother me at all. Whether im saying them, or someones saying them to me.

Looks like the OP was a little... *overused shades joke* late.
*overused yeah joke*

Honestly, I don't exactly care if someone says I'm late. They're only informing me that I'm late.
