Would not recommend, I have that webcam and the video footage has these weird vertical stripes all across it which, while retaining the image behind them, ruin the colours. It doesn't even record in particularly high quality either :/. I would recommend you get a PS3 Eye camera and download one of the custom drivers which allow it to be used as a webcam, the quality is very good in my opinion though I don't know how it stands up to other options in the same price point as I didn't buy mine; my brother didn't take it with him when he moved to Japan so I "re-purposed" it without his permission

I don't have a PS3 either, I use it purely because it's a pretty damn fine webcam. You can also mod the PS3 Eye to pick up IR light so you can use it for a DIY TrackIR headset if you play games in which headtracking would be useful such as ARMA.

They're reasonably cheap from what I've seen, mostly just people trying to get rid of them nowadays since the PS4 is muscling it's way in and most console gamers don't own a PC so they can't re-purpose it as a webcam; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-PlayStation-Eye-Camera-EyeCreate/dp/B000W3YQ1Y
