Author Topic: Repeatedly lagging out of servers (Read 1703 times)

I keep having infinite lag attacks for some reason (by 'infinite' I mean it doesn't stop until I leave the server). I'm usually able to see other people's chat when it happens and it fixes if I rejoin the server.

I finally caught it while in trace, so I'll attach the console.log. I turned trace off about 10 seconds after the lag started, and you can't see where I turned trace on because I edited it out - I had trace on for about 15 minutes so the file was too big to include everything. I still included a lot though.

Get rid of the client add-on that's loving with your chat.

If getting rid of the client add-on that's messing with your chat doesn't work then get rid off all of your client/script add-ons.

I removed System_BlocklandEssentials (the addon you believed was causing the chat stuff in console) from my add-ons and I'm still lagging out. The addon messing with chat must be something else so I'll keep searching.

I'm attaching the new trace that I ran after I started to lag - you can see that this is still going on:

waait, are you sure that those chat things in console aren't normal?

They are pretty normal but having it go through 11578 multiple times when you say it starts to lag seems oddly suspicious. So I'm guessing that something is messing with your chat.

Have you tried to see if the error occurs without any script/client/system add-ons yet?

I get the exact same thing as this. If I leave it lagging without leaving the server then my blockland actually crashes.

Go to your Blockland directory, and make a folder. Name it "Blockland is gay" or w/e else. Then put ALL of your add-ons into it and see if you re-create the error.

Or just re-name the Add-Ons folder.

Lag-outs used to happen to me too, the issue was solved by updating my network driver.

I did this and still lagged out. So my add-ons can't be causing it.

I can only recall it happening on my own cbm server so I'm going to join another server and see if it happens.
