Author Topic: Over the Garden Wall - The 5 Night Mystery Adventure - it's over and i am crying  (Read 1579 times)

The new Cartoon Network Miniseries premiers this Monday. It is based off of the animated short "Tome of the Unknown" which literally does not exist anywhere on the internet. Weird, but ok. It was created by Patrick McHale

Chapter One (Full)
Chapter 6 Preview

If for some reason you haven't seen this advert 500 times (if you watch cartoon network) it really does look cool, and I'm pretty excited for it.

Characters -
Wirt (Elijah Wood) -  Wirt is the big brother of Gregory, and possible leader of the pair. Although hes older, Wirt is afraid of a lot of things, and prefers to be by himself, but he has Gregory to look after. His secret passions are playing clarinet and poetry.

Gregory (Collin Dean) - Gregory (nicknamed Greg) is Wirt's little brother.

Beatrice (Melanie Lynskey) - The irritable talking bird that accompanies Wirt, giving little lines of advice to him every now and then.

I was actually pretty interested in seeing this when they first started advertising it, but then i forgot about it when it premiered...

Exactly this.

Here's to hoping for reruns.

man that last episode cleared every up, some feels here and there

see im wondering if the entire thing was a "it was all a dream" thing or they just (not trying to spoil anything here but its still probably a spoiler anyways so look away shield your eyes whatever) concluded the story without knowledge of how they concluded their story, especially because it ends where the story begins and they can't be sure that anything actually happened, except for the fact that they showed how everyone's stories wrap up

ok this is harder than i thought but you probably know what i mean

The art style seriously makes me think of Adventure Time meets Flapjack in an odd way.

the creator worked on both of those shows

i dont see any re-runs in the future, although im sure it'll happen eventually

i reccomend just buying it from amazon, google play, or itunes

Watched it and it didn't touch me like it did for everyone else... I feel like I'm missing something.
Gonna watch it again.
