Double Spaced or Single Spaced writing?

If you dont know what that means; when you write stuff on normal lined paper, double spaced means you leave a line blank between each line of text.

I find whenever I do double space I run out of room and then I have to resort to using single space and it looks really horrible and messes with my brain
