Author Topic: marijuana legalized in oregon  (Read 7221 times)

Minnesota's still working on legalization, but we'll get there eventually.

c'mon guys don't start a fight
why can't we talk about weed in peace :(

the only reason i don't want the drug legalized here for rec. use is because i don't want people being high around me all the time, smelling like weed and being a loving idiot

i would also say alcohol should be banned, but there's already a huge trade and industry for it and it's already set in stone forever

Are you actually suggesting someone who is high is just going to randomly murder someone?
Except that studies show that long term use of marijuana can break down certain areas of your nervous system to make you liable to violence...
I'm not saying it's in every case, however violence and drugs come hand in hand very frequently. Just look at Amsterdam.

ninja;
ok after reading a cnn article I find I was wrong about the it's more addictive than alcohol. My mistake..

Still my personal opinion is that drugs can be dangerous and I'd rather them not be completely legalized. I'm ok with a recreational use (even though there's almost no difference) but I don't think we should have complete druggies going around town doing nothing but weed.

Flame me all you loving want, I don't give a stuff.

race and drugs are two completely different things
atleast drugs you have an option on

Blake is absolutely right, or at least his sources are. Using marijuana for an extended period of time will break down neural compounds within the nervous system responsible for rational behavior. It doesn't happen to everyone, but in most cases it does and its violent. Imagine your neighbor waking up, smoking a bowl and has a quick decision if he/she wants to go do stupid stuff because all said cigarette's reasoning is lost.

Pretty sure if I see signs of crime linked directly to the legalization of a drug, im moving the forget outa here.

Blake1 I disagree with your opinion completely, therefor it is disregarded and mine is correct.

good point

Lol for being a huge consumer of marijuana I care little for the politics of it. only thing that will change is who is selling me my bud xD

here's a .gov site on how marijuana use affects the body

Did you really just site a government website for info regarding the very substance they keep illegal?

what is your opinion on alcohol and tobacco?
This isn't relevant at all to the topic at hand; but since you asked I'll gladly post it.

Alcohol is perfectly acceptable at amounts that the body can handle before going absolutely apestuff (drunkeness). A glass of wine at dinner is something completely different to drinking large, excessive amounts, which can eventually lead to drunk driving, stupid decisions etc.

Tobacco I don't really have an opinion on; as long as you're using it legally you're okay. I do believe it leads to lung cancer though.

Yes because it shows very truthful statements.
