Author Topic: Help Torin Fix His Mousewheel!  (Read 1135 times)

uh, hey forums. I have a problem.
I've had this AzzA optical mouse since I got this computer, and this morning when I got on it felt like the mouse wheel was caught on something when I tried to scroll, normally it makes a distinct "bump" noise and you can feel it, but now I can feel it spinning but nothing happens. It doesn't even scroll either.
I'm trying to clean it out, and there isn't a way to open the damn thing.
Can you guys help me?

Did the mouse come with an instruction manual?
If not, try searching for a manual for your mouses model number.

There should probably be some info on how to safely open the mouse up in that.

Theres usually a single screw on the bottom, after that it pops off. If no screw is present than check under the mouses pad things. If still no screws than you have to pop it at the seams.

Theres a chance your mouse wheel isn't making connection with the stuff its suppose to, that usually happens when they get worn down.

I don't see any screws. How the hell would I pop it out?

Is there a serial/model number anywhere on the mouse?

Please. There ought to be an instruction manual for it somewhere online.

Take something flat and pry it at the seams, be careful though.

forget, I can't get it. what would you use? I'm using a butter knife.

A flathead screwdriver is best for the job. A butter knife could be too thick.

Try a small flat head screwdriver-
damnit

If you don't have a thin enough flathead screwdriver, then perhaps try some tweezers.

And I'm not having much luck finding a manual for it.
Azza don't even list it on their website as a thing they made.

Usually when stuff gets that old they just quit having it on their site. Looks like its a game of luck for him to get it fixed
