think I'm done with bomberman, unless something else comes up.  But I covered most ground after realizing I need more measurements when I started the head.

More progress. with mild sanding and new hands.

Nice progress on bomberman. you should do a custom "edgy" Bomberman as a joke or something. pff.

Keep at it mate.

Going to need to postpone a lot of bomberman.  Realizing I definitely need some more materials/tools than what I have.  Really pissed at how poor the shelf life is for Fixit Sculpt, going to try their Apoxie Sculpt instead, just because Fixit Sculpt doesn't take paint too well.

Err, nevermind, cleaned up outer head shape/lengthened it, added in the feet, redid portions of the side profile's hood.

I also saved over most of the recent work thinking I was saving over a modified JPG with this, so there goes that.  Most of the final work is there but some backtracks were needed/now I have to deal with a bunch of white space showing up when I do the styrene cut layouts.

I continue the process of creation. Started painting and adding more detail.

It's starting to look like something from metal album cover. or some anime.

Keep at it man.  Love the face.

would it be possible for me to update the thread with my daft punk helmet progress?

that sounds interesting. I'd like to see it.

The paintjob is reminiscent of your artstyle, CREEPY!

super spooky man. (Thank you!)

Yeah, 3D traditional is also in the topic name.  Stuff you'd post in the 3D topic don't get posted here, anything else sculpt or toy photo based can come here.  Even design workups for 3D stuff are fine, like layouts/cutaways.

yeah i saw it but for some reason i was going off the assumption "traditional" meant something else. idk sorry lol

anyways so basically for those who dont know im making a daft punk helmet. ive made them in the past via pepakura style but this time i wanted to try and make one with a bit more cleaner/more professional look, so i ordered up this bad boy and started cutting into it:

using a dremel i cut out the visor, and replaced it with this vac formed version. tinted with (if i remember correctly) car tinting spray

as of now this is where my helmet stands. you can see where some air bubbles came out in the cast, and that the visor lines still need to be trimmed up a bit, which im working on that today cus this projects been on hiatus for a while :p

Love the work.  Take brighter photos!

Sticky tack proportioning test 1 for mr. stubbles. Clearly didn't make him short enough, jacket needs to be pushed in more, etc. I also think the fact that I chose the one with eyes a bit mispainted up instead of down made his face look less derp, which makes it work less with the proportions.. so I probably have to repaint those. Something I really didn't want to have to do.

hopefully these are a little brighter

i finished with cutting out left over bits of the visor, and i also trimmed the visor lining to be more smoother. i still need to take care of some air bubble spots and polish up the ears a bit, but then after that it might be time to start thinking about chroming options/light fixtures :)

(as a side note, i need to dim the visor some more cause if you look closely you can barely make out my face)
