So what was it originally made out of?  And why'd you have to resort to getting it casted?

Looks glorious.  I can't wait to see lights.

ooh scratch build has always interested me, I'm used to just the simple tamayia kits for things like the Puma

When you say "traditional," does that not include 3D printing? My robotics team won a printer, and I might try to make some sort of poseable character with it.

Yeah, that's fine.  I'm sure there's some other points where this'll cross with the other 3D topic, in which case it'll probably be posted there.

Another sticky tack proportioning test. The right boot's finished, the left eye was repainted, the snout was/the flash on the snout was removed, the entire headset is loose on this photo so ignore how it doesn't wrap around completely, the knee here is.. kind of finished. The jacket's starting to be resculpted, more so on the right side, and the left hand's being resculpted to match the right.

Tripple post, but whatever.

Been reworking the head on Bomberman after seeing some issues from a friend modelling it.

generally most helmets like this start out as an un-wearable wooden/foam base, and then are later casted to make wearable and to sell

before i get it prepped for chroming, im outlining where all the lights will go and also using the outlines to design a rig for the lights. based on what i have, this is my concept idea

Looks like it'll be a bitch to ensure you can see through all of them without either being blocked out or blinded.
