silly Europeans also use a comma for a period on decimals. so 65.8 is 65,8
but its confusing because they also use commas on large numbers ex 100,000,000
the world is a strange place
I don't think this is a European thing.
Or if it is, it's certainly not shared in Britain.
We use a decimal point too. 1.5
Commas in big numbers are useful though, because at a glance they let you better identify the number.
Like, 1,000,000,000 is quicker/easier to read as 1 billion than 1000000000 is.
