Author Topic: What is your stance on abortion? (Abortion discussion)  (Read 42535 times)

You don't have to chop someone's rooster off because they wish people shared their opinion. This thread is going to lead to flames and bans.

I personally don't believe a human has the right to end any sapient or potentially sapient life, regardless of the circumstances.

Rape is a horrible occurrence, but a child as a byproduct of that is still a part of the woman and not hers at the same time. For her to decide the fate of whether or not that child lives is out of her jurisdiction. It's a (potential) life, not a tumor.

Even leaving the child for adoption would be greater than ending it. At least in that scenario they have a chance.

Some people just need to cut it out with the abortion jokes

My views on abortion alone are you are not a human being until you can/are surviving on your own. Until then you are a parasite with no real rights except to not be ignorantly deformed by moron mothers that do drugs and drink while pregnant.
quoting this because its ignorant, not because I agree with it.

You should have Aborted before you made that joke

oh my

There's also the bonus of using aborted fetuses for their stem cells. Just saying.

You can't tell women what they're allowed to do with their own bodies. It just doesn't work. If you get rid of professional abortion, you just get improvised abortions which usually results in the death of the baby and the mother. (aka backstreet/coat hanger abortions)

As for the 'conditions' argument, I'm pretty sure abortions are already physically and financially hefty. I don't think anyone enjoys getting abortions. We should however be teaching better love education, obviously the 'abstinence' crap isn't working.

Did you get dumped recently? You've been posting an abnormal amount of butthurt stuff about men lately.
lmao no

Completely pro-life.  However, I won't infringe on others' right to abort their baby if the law allows it, though I find the entire concept of abortion being okay as vile.  I believe that life begins at conception.

IMO it should be allowed in very early stages, obviously before implantation it's fine and maybe the first 2 months before true development occurs
however unless it could result in the woman dying or the pregnancy came from rape, it should require consent from both parents

What about circumstances where a fetus is killing the mother? What about circumstances where the mother needs treatment for an underlying condition that will kill the fetus? What about if the fetus is severely deformed and the likeliness of it living past the first year mark is low?

Want to elaborate?

they should have used protection, I mean come on.
What if they did? No form of contraception is 100% effective
What if it was sabotaged (ie, a condom with a hole poked in it)?
