Author Topic: What is your stance on abortion? (Abortion discussion)  (Read 42657 times)

I'm trying to keep religion out of this because although I am religious, arguments about "it's a sin", which technically it is, will get us nowhere.Quit twisting my words and arguments, please. Or at least go back and read them.

And they do.

A fetus is one of the first steps of a full-grown human. A fetus is a baby. Similar to how a sprout is a plant.
Woah woah woah changing your story
Earlier we agreed that a fetus is NOT a human being, it is s a POTENTIAL human being.

In that case, I'll leave you to that going in circles thing. I need to go to bed.

You're denying simple logic and reasoning that has been proven by, oh, wait- MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF YEARS OF OUR SPECIES' SURVIVAL

How the forget is that even relevant? Don't try to school me on something you know nothing about.

I don't care wtf it could be. A seed is a seed, not a tomato. Milk is milk, not ice cream. A zygote is a zygote, not a child.

I quickly want to stress this; the majority of people who are anti-abortion are religious, and it's because of the concept of a soul.
The big question for religious people is "When does the soul actually enter the body of the zygote to form a human?"
This is the smartest thing I have read in this thread yet.
I would like to have a discussion about this, I find it interesting.

You're right! The baby never was there!
All that was there was a fetus. No babies there.

The way he makes it sound you might as well call that forgeter a seed that just hit the dirt lol

brown townogies are only good if they are short, simple, and need no explaining...

otherwise they are just off topic discussion
Maybe we should stop arguing about abortions and start arguing about cheese. Cheddar is clearly the best.

A child will unwittingly take up resources, and have the potential to cost lives at the absolute worst (mothers dying during pregnancy), and if they aren't raised correctly, they become a liability to our species and those who are alive.

A child should only be created if the circumstances are right surrounding it, because otherwise it is only going to cause more problems than an abortion would.

I bet Derontchi likes swiss cheese.

I'm a mozzarella and swiss fan myself, although I find provolone quite enjoyable.

Then why did you admit they don't. Explain it please.
Alright, babe, here's my stance to clarify.

Abortion is wrong because a fetus is life, it is unique and although it is not an independent organism, it is still an organism. Who cares if it's not a fully developed child? It is irrelevant! It is still a human life. It may be a life in early stages, but it is a life. A fetus does breathe. As I've said before, and you all seem to ignore it, a fetus' heart starts beating at 20 days, and starts sending brain waves at 40. Christ!

Personally I really like Mozzarella and Ricotta.

Full of holes, like his arguments. :)

I can say the same for you bud :iceCream:

Then why did you state otherwise. Clearly you wouldn't have if you believed so strongly in this delusion.
