Although the furry stats are a bit biased: For anime, the survey was conducted both at a con and online, whereas furry was only conducted at a con. Considering anime had higher hetero rates online than at con, it's a reasonable assumption that furry probably would too.
Here's an online furry surveyEDIT:
Furries: 22% straight, 11% bi, 11% gay, 3% aloveual, and 15% other. So, furries are 62% some loveual orientation including other. What about the other 1/3?
Yeah, another reason I'm inclined to not trust those results.

If you read the original results, the survey came from convention attendants. So if there was a brony at the furry con, and they were surveyed (21.1% of furries surveyed were also bronies), then yes, they were counted
