I personally use my Mac for a bedside computer, it's old as forget (late 2006 so it didn't cost me much because I got it from my brother) but features snow leopard so it's more or less up to date, I use it for steam community and Internet browsing and I can work so much quicker on it than I can windows, although probably because I've not used windows for a long time

tl;dr I like macs interface

That's all Apple products are. Fashion accessories

Unix OS's usually have really nice and streamlined GUIs.

I like how you ignored the rest of his post.

That's because most Unix-like OS's use X11, meaning that if you don't like your current GUI, you can easily just switch to a different one. For example, in Ubuntu, you don't like Unity and you would prefer much more customability. You could install XFCE, and it will be immediately added to the log-in menu.

Irrelevant because I was criticizing Apple products in general for being overpriced.

"They're really overpriced! That means their only use is as a fashon accessory!"

They're expensive and there are better alternatives that you can get for less money. They're a way to let people know "I have an iPhone/Macbook, therefore I have more money than you"

Most people only get Apple products because of the brand. Same with Beats headphones. There are cheaper and better alternatives, but people are willing to pay 200 dollars for a Beats headset because of Dre's name, and because they look flashier

I use Linux because it provides many tools that you cannot get in Windows (and my laptop is super loving old), but for just general use, Windows is probably the best choice. I've also heard good things about Mac, but I'm not willing to pay $800+ extra just for a unix-based operating system.

And who the forget voted BSD?
