Lol, people still think badspot is going to update
none of the devs strike me as people that would outright lie to save face

i think we can trust their word when they say they're working on something

and if we dont get a massive huge update like everyone wants who the forget cares

And somewhere there is a rumor Rotondo is making a linux version, due to a post somewhere were he said
"Time to start porting everything to linux"
He said that when badspot got the steambox dev kit
so maybe a steambox version???

I think that was a joke.

Edit: ok nevermind, it seemed to be worded in a non-serious way.

I think that was a joke.
Quit your richard-waving and put on your tin-foil hat.

I think that was a joke.
It actually was not.

Like others stated, considering Steam OS is Linux in a Nutshell, a port is actually very possible now.
How long it will take, I have no idea, you would have to ask someone who has experience with porting stuff to linux.

Now Blockland runs on a Highly Modified version of Torque, from what I know, there is aversion of TGE for Linux, however you can not just copy and paste code to get something to work, and even if you could there would be errors everywhere, or it would straight up not work at all.

From 2007 to 2014 Blockland has changed very much, and when your working with a bare-bones game engine I can only imagine how long it can take to port something that has had many changes.

Less than re-writing all the changes at least.

If its only a minor update,(only bugfixes) i would quit blockland.

I don't trust badspot much.

so
if the game was improved
you'd quit the game

i think we can trust their word when they say they're working on something

Say what?

wtf why

i think he would quit because he would be expecting more than a few bug fixes

The timing of the next update has been described as being much like a woman in labor. Just like a birth follows a very precise set of events, and a woman has many warnings that her baby is on the way, so it is with the return of development. We have been given very precise signs to watch for that will signify development's return.

Say what?
i don't understand what's shocking about what i said
