Author Topic: People cannot join my sever.... Again.  (Read 1273 times)

Don't you just love blockland these days? few weeks ago people could not join my sever... alot of people's severs actually. Even though the ping and internet connection was fixed. Last week I played and hosted without a problem, in fact my sever was booming. and now on my day off its being defective again and my friends cannot join. I restarted Blockland, my internet, everything... Seriously? This is happening to my friend's sever as well. I just want to know whats going on so i know not to waste my time trying to get it to work when its something with the games networking again.

*note, The only thing that I downloaded / updated was my RTB IRC. and i notice in the console that it says Posting to RTB sever several times. not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have heard about something with porting and I have read how people ported forward and it did not change a thing = time wasted.

You have forwarded the correct ports, i assume? Tell us what it says, when you put into console: echo($Pref::Server::Port);

Reading your note, the thing may be that you are using the Disable UPnP method, which requires no port forwarding. The method is extremely inconsistant, a large portion of people can't join servers using that as well afaik, maybe more problems i'm not aware of.

I have not done a thing, no port forwarding nothing the only thing I did last time was wait it to fix itself. days later. what can I do now to fix it for good?

also when i put that in is said 28000

Then i assume you're using the UPnP method and the best solution for it would be to toggle "Disable UPnP" from it's current state after port forwarding and then launch server.

I do not know what you mean by port forward how do I do that? since most people who want to host dont know how they developers should really fix this issue instead of leaving for people who are not super computer smart to fix it themselves.

If you're on Windows be sure to also look up how to add exceptions and rules to Windows Firewall.

That's pretty much impossible for them to do within the games limited scope.
