Author Topic: Game crashes when trying to start a server.  (Read 6003 times)

Oh dear, it appears that you have no idea what you're talking about. That happens every time you start a server.
It doesn't appear in my console.

Oh dear, any feedback Swat?
About what?  The broken Add-Ons?  They were working before I switched over to mac so I have a suspicion it may be OS-related, but if that's just silly, say so.

About cleaning up your mess of a add-on folder? Did it work for you?

Coding for game engines don't encounter OS specific errors.

For some reason, there's something wrong with the system or how it reads then, because some of those are default Add-Ons.

Also instead of using a Custom Gamemode, which would inevitably crash, I attempted to create a modification of Slayer by putting Add-Ons into the gamemode.txt, but the "Loading Add-Ons" portion just keeps looping.  Is there something I'm missing to prevent this loop?

At the top of you console when it complains about needing to handle the add-ons better, unzip the add-ons it's complaining about.

It sounds like you have a lot of corrupted files. That's typically what the "unable to open.." error means.

I'll check them when I get back from school.  Could these be causing the loading loop?  I'm not too sure since A) The corrupted files aren't included in the loop, and B) the other gamemodes save for Custom and the new Gamemode_Slayer_TopDown load fine even when the same errors occur.

I've identified the Add-On Event_Commands to be the source of the looping.  Shame though, it was one of my favorite Add-Ons.

Also for some reason, Brick textures are blank (I can fix this) and the particles are all squares for some reason.  I didn't know if it would do any good, but I did flushtexturecache(); which didn't seem to do anything.

Sorry for the bump but I also have the WebCom Post () error. I am pretty sure it is caused by the default "server settings" GUI. It is also found in RTB (except GRTB because I removed it)

Does anyone know an exact cause for this? Thorfin claims not to have this and I even went around and used a fresh install of blockland and still get this in my console

Bump.

Additionally hosting does not seem to work.  Anyone know how to make it so that applications will not request "Incoming Connections" permissions, and will accept specified applications automatically.
