Author Topic: What does BLF think about a 10 second DM?  (Read 1516 times)

So, I'm thinking about making a deathmatch where you only have 10 seconds to fight before the round is over. There is going to be a small map because of the 10 seconds as well.
What does BLF think about this server idea?

That is the worst idea ever.

While in essence sounds like a interesting idea for a fast-paced game and all, I bet it will become boring or repetitive very quickly in that same aspect.

Should I bump it up to 30 seconds or something like that?

Just forget about it, we have /timescale

it's still the same concept and would become stale quickly

what?

Well, maybe this isn't really a good idea.

Fast-paced DM (Timescale)?

what?

A 10 second dm should be very fast paced, so /timescale 2 would do the trick.

I was thinking about this:
Setting the Slayer time to 2 minutes, and then setting timescale to 2.

A 10 second dm should be very fast paced, so /timescale 2 would do the trick.
no it wouldn't
having a ten second time duration to fight is not the same as fighting at 2x speed

I just want to make some sort of fast paced DM.

*Sigh*
I guess if nobody wants me to make this, then I just won't.
I really wanted to do some sort of fast-paced deathmatch server. Oh well...

then just make a fast paced DM. have a small map with fast firing weapons, a quicker playertype and stuff along those lines

Say, thanks for the idea!
EDIT: I'm done with the build and the server is now up at the time of writing.
