And only if over a giant slab of metal.

i still dont forgive tony hawk for making that prank video with fake hoverboards
weasel forget

why does it need to be higher. the point of hovering isnt to fly, its just to not touch the ground.

He's what Tony had to say in the comments section:

but where are the automatic fit clothing

Because it LOOKS like it's on the ground. If we're making a hoverboard, it should look like a hoverboard, otherwise we'd just use a skateboard.

This actually doesn't seem too hard.
Maybe there isn't a demand? Also, more money to clothing manufacturers the way it is now.

if it was higher it couldnt be used. because you know... your 1 foot needs to kick off the ground...

plus the point of hovering isnt to LOOK like anything. its the absence of ground friction and drag that is new about it.

go buy yourself an apple product. they are sleek and cool LOOKING.

an inch wouldn't make a practical difference but would look a lot cooler

i don't think that's why the public is excited about hoverboards, maybe only hardcore skateboarders

was this necessary
also apple doesn't make hoverboards, so it's irrelevant in addition to unnecessary

im calling you out on being a tool for aesthetics and ignoring the tech involved.

-1 more for you for being dumb

But the entire point of a hoverboard IS aesthetics. Hovering stuff has existed for a long time, hoverboards are just about making it compact & have it look like something other than a vacuum cleaner duct-taped to an airbag.

just like the entire point of the skateboard was to look cool on a 4 wheeled vehicle... that have existed long before already.

you dont know the point of this thing. its entire purpose is to evolve the skateboard, thus, work like one. otherwise this would be a video about a remote control hover copter or something if you really want to fly.
