Author Topic: Issues with the server due to some sort of an Error (WebCom_PostServer())  (Read 1180 times)

Lately, I been having issues with the server (Since I run a Death Run Server) and I don't know what is causing it. I notice that there was no players joining on the server while I was running the server. I was running for like 2 hours when Nat10 (one of my Admins) reported to me that He can't connect to the Server due to that there is no Ping. I then went to the console.log file, scan it closely, and Found this error while searching

Quote
ERROR: WebCom_PostServer() - mission is not running
BackTrace: ->ServerSettingsGui::clickLaunchGame->createServer->createMission->[Slayer_Dependencies_Brick]onMissionLoaded->[Slayer_Dependencies_Minigames]onMissionLoaded->onMissionLoaded->WebCom_PostServer

Can someone figure out what is happening and tell me how to fix this? Thanks

(Important) To make some things clear...
1. the server settings was on Dial-Up (sense there is no ports to use)
2. This suddenly became an issue a Few days ago. It was working before.
3. I have Full Internet
4. I tried Disconnection, Shutting down, Re installing the Addons, and others
5. I removed Slayer Mod but it did not remove the problem.
6. I did not add any mods when this happens

The solution to your problem is to port forward properly.

Neither the error message you quoted or Slayer is the problem.

the thing is, I don't think that's the issue. I was on the same ports when It was fine, but I will attempt what you said Just in Case.

I think it is not a Port issue
My ports were always changing day after day due to the fact that it is Dynamic. If there is a workaround to this, Please tell me.

Give yourself a static IP address. You can find a good tutorial by googling "[your operating system here] static ip".

I figure out the problem. and like you said, It was dealing with the IP Address. What I think that happened is that Blockland is a' Static Connection' game. It means that the game saves the IP address to the console when it was launched the first time and used that IP Address for the server. What happens is that I was on the wrong IP Address, Causing the connection attempts to a server that don't even exist. the way I fixed it is to figure out what the static IP Address is and find the computer that has it. then, I Shut down both computers and turn on this one In order. and that fixed it.  :cookie:  :cookie:  :cookie:
