The weird thing is he has a normal hand already. And his prosthetic hand has a good chance of ripping his richard off. So he must have some kind of prosthetic special interest or something, otherwise he'd use his normal hand.

it's harder to rip off your richard than you think

maybe he did it...for science?

He probably did it so it'd feel like a handjob. Prosthetics don't feel, yo.

maybe it's not a super hard rubber and it feels pretty good

Your left arm is probably stronger and harder than the prosthetic. the only difference is that the prosthetic doesn't have nerves or muscles that get tired

Lol, this is an interesting conversation

I mean it's definitely the path I had in mind when I made the thread. forget innovation that's going to better our lives ten-fold, they're going to make mechanical parts we can stick our richard into!

Holy stuff. This is amazing. Imagine how strong the grip is? "Bet you can't steal this from me!"

If he needs to, he can hold on for dear life without worrying!

as for the legs, imagine getting strong enough mechanics to be able to "super jump" , then grab onto something with your perfect gripping hand.

The future is so loving cool.

This cool prosthetics shop opened up downtown recently, and it'd be cool to go there some time, but I have literally no excuse

If I go into biomed I'll get to build stuff like this  :cookieMonster:

It was probably a joke made just for the inverview lol

The biggest difficulty would be building something that won't shatter or break in half when you hit the ground after 'super jumping'.

I can only imagine the wear and tear on the servos and the kinetic forces smashing the shock absorbers and hydraulics.

well if you want super jumpers

you're going to have to sacrifice more fragile components like servos to make room for heavier hardware and sacrifice that more fluid movement

aka really large springs and a spring compression mechanism.
