Author Topic: My school is having a walkout protest  (Read 5195 times)

For a student who was raped by another student, and no punishment was given other than suspension. they suspended her too, because she punched someone who made fun of her for it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoEzAHKOL3I This is a video of the rapist bragging about it.

may want to fixed "rapped" before camel comes in here and drops a beat

ot: hope it gets some recognition

yep.

Now that's changed the OP, that image makes me rather uncomfortable

seriously, lets keep on topic with the student who's basically getting little to no punishment for raping a girl who was then called a slut and a whore and told that "she let it happen". She may not have been completely innocent, but rape is rape. and he deserves jail

forget this jackass.

Also, what exactly is a walkout protest?

either way it makes you think of both rap and rape

ot: i cant believe that its happening at such young ages. and how come they havent done anything about it?

Does anyone else find it wrong that punching someone in the face for making fun of you carries the same sentence as raping someone at your school?

they hand out suspensions like loving candy, for everything (even if it was just a kid biting his poptart into a shape that looked like a gun) and everyone.

forget this jackass.

It's when you walk out in protest

so why exactly was she unconscious

Exactly what it sounds like.
Protesting by walking out of the place you're supposed to be.

Could be at a school, where all the students (and/or teachers) just walk out.
Could be at an office, where all the employees just walk out.
It's protesting by not working, but is more visual, because everyone was actually there and then walked out, rather than not turning up, or congregating elsewhere.

I find this seriously forgeted up.

Basically a bunch of people are going to stand in front of the school. It's been mostly approved by the school, and the school is supplying some of our on campus officers to handle safety. They can't forbid it, and it will be considered excused under the principles order as long as a students parents call. It's not limited to students of the school however, other adults/parents/former students/anyone who want's to participate can attend. There's a facebook group and event for it, which so far has roughly 120 people who claim to be attending. including me

There's no official article/source for this, so I don't know what the facts of the case are.

But has this actually been reported to the police?
It's clearly been reported to the school, but what of the police?
She can (or others on her behalf) can report it themselves. Of course the school should be doing it, but she or her friends or family can too.

Why hasn't there been a bigger stink about the situation? And why does it seem to be entirely directed towards the school, rather than the police?
