forget using the dropdown menu in obs i set my capture button to the home button and it works on basically everything.

dxtory works flawlessly for me so idk what's up with you.

It records at 60 but then plays back all laggy.

MSI Afterburner rapes my hard drive from what I remember
sooo... nobody else is gonna say anything about this??

not trying to bug you with this but action is prolly as good as its gonna get for only 30 bucks

Action!
I agree. their decoder/encoder whatever the hell it is, is one of the smoothest ones ive ever seen. even for low end.

Action isn't recording my mic even though I set it and the audio of the game is cutting out.

i think the collective forces of the universe are acting to make this simple task as frustrating as possible for you

buy like gtx 750 ti or some stuff and use shadowplay

PlayClaw
it's decent but i would use action

What problem do you have with Fraps? I've been able to use it flawlessly.

itt: shoot down suggestions and complain about OBS

I second the use of getting 'Action!'.
I just looked at the website, it looks very good for recording.

Yes I am going to spend 150$ on an inferior card.

Anyway with Action I got my mic working but the audio and video still lag. Whats weird is that the widget says I am getting a solid 60 while I'm playing but when I look at the recording it shows it going down to 40 when it stayed at 60 while I was playing at that time

When you tell me to buy a loving game for you and you're not giving me any help I am going to get pissed off.
Have you tried to record deus ex? It doesn't show up at all. Try it smartass.

Jesus, stop being such an asshat.
The recording software isn't the problem here. I don't have the best computer for recording but Action works for me on default settings without much lag, and I have worse specs than you do.

fraps works fine for me
why is it "kill"?

Well then I don't know whats  wrong. The game is Medal of Honour (2010) and it runs at a solid 60 while recording but when I play back the recording the audio & video is all laggy

It has the exact opposite problem in fraps then action. Low framerate while recording but it shows  solid 60 in recording. Also can't change my mic and game volume settings in the program.
