Author Topic: Bought game on steam...  (Read 1149 times)

Hello!
I recently bought Blockland and I'm loving it!
I have on issue tho, I bought the game on steam and I cant play the game out of steam. (I can't use the version you get from Blockland.us)

I was wondering if someone can tell me how I can get access to the non-steam version of the game. seeing as I bought the game once shouldn't I be able to use the non-steam version too?

Can't. If you bought the game through Steam you don't have a key to play out of Steam.

Really? that's a little dumb. if I bought the game once then I shouldn't have to buy it again to play out of steam. I would have thought you would be sent a key once you buy the game on steam.

why do you want to play out of steam though? If you login on steam on other computers then you'll still be able to play blockland.

To play outside of steam you need to have a proper authentication key. The way your game works now is that authentication is tied with your steam account. All you have to do is install steam and log on on whatever computer you want to play blockland on.

I can understand where OP is coming from. Personally, I don't run Blockland through Steam because it eats up more resources. Also, keep in mind when you install steam onto another computer; Steam makes you verify through email, which is handicapped, but can be disabled in your steam account options.

It seems more efficient to have Blockland on a flash drive without being dependant steam.
You can pop it into any computer, copy and paste your key from a txt file and your done.

I didn't know this was an issue :O
It definetly would be great if steam blocklanders could have a key emailed to them
