I guess it's mostly because it has some oddball things in it, for instance:

-Random stormtrooper randomly out in the middle of nowhere who seem upset for some random unknown reason
-Unusual/unorthodox saber design
-Random derpy ball droid (seriously what is that thing)

Well, I found those things to be odd, anyway.


And then they start showing starfighters and it turns into awesome

Soccer-R2-Astro-Droid thing looked weird but other than that I was okay with it.
There have been worse lightsaber designs - like Dooku's curvy banana saber, like what the forget was that?
The stormtrooper - I don't know why people complain about him. I'm not the hugest Star Wars nerd, but if I recall correctly, this takes place after they stopped making clones. Or that could have been some random guy in stormtrooper garb, explaining his puzzled expression.

And after all, this is a teaser, and a pretty damn good one in my opinion. But I can see why people expected more - considering that this is Star Wars.
