Author Topic: Do you leave your computer on? Or turn it off?  (Read 1187 times)

I leave my computer on all the time, however it restarts itself every week after defragmenting the drive and doing the usual virus scans at 4 in the morning.

Add a shut down nightly option. I leave it on during the day, but shut it down at night. Turn it on first thing in the morning.

I quite often leave it on overnight, because often I'm watching something off of it and fall asleep to it.
But I make sure it gets turned off at least every couple of days for a while.

I also regularly restart if I'm going to be playing a game on it in the day, because usually it's gotten all slow and sluggish.

I usually leave it on when I get off.

sometimes i shut it off when i get off, sometimes not

If closing a laptop counts as turning it off, mostly. If not, only when updates need to happen or I need to restart it for whatever reason.

it goes into sleep when you close it. It doesn't shut down.

It might as well be off, considering laptops on sleep mode draw so little power.

i only leave it on when im running an ai only eu4 game, otherwise i turn it off

my comp runs 24/7

i restart it like weekly for updates and stuff

on or sleeping all the time just like me

I put put mine in Hibernate/sleep mode when I go to bed so that the CPU cooler light gets turned off, otherwise I cant sleep.

Since i use a laptop, i turn it off when I'm not using it. I'd probably do the same if I had a desktop

I turn off my laptop whenever i'm gonna close the lid; I leave my iMac server running 24/7 which normally lasts for about a month before something breaks. I'm on my 5th iMac; I have a little iMac graveyard in my basement; will post if anyone is interested in seeing.

I shut it down when I feel like it
