Guys... You're ALL wrong!!!

If you just open up your Bibles youll see this is obviously a message from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
You all are so blind.

hey guys, its not quite obvious, but the point he was trying to get across is true. you CAN represent data as anything (in his case, representing the numbers that describe that zip as text characters) in a sense that- well, data stored on a computer is literally just numbers fundamentally and since theres a mysterious zip file inside the addons folder (where text is commonly found throughout in there) saying "open it in notepad" is a completely logical suggestion. personally i'd take a hex editor but whatever.

The reason why everyone has jumped on him is probably because he didn't word it so fluently (no offense) so it'd require at least 9th grade english class to- you know- think outside the box a little and try and comprehend what he's attempting to get across. "everything in computing is text" is a bold statement however you should be able to get "data stored on a computer is TECHNICALLY text considering you can represent it as text without any loss." and deduct that his statement isn't literally what it means. Sorry for those who operate on lower frequencies.

this
I soppose I probably should've worded it better.
That's not binary.

^This is binary.
technically these entire forums are (saved in & processed in/anything before the light hits your eyes) binary. Like compy said, I was trying to say all binary can be expressed as text/characters

Obviously binary

(I changed a .zip called "test" with a file called "test" which had a txt called "test txt" that in it had the words
Code: [Select]
this is a test
should be easy to read because it is a txt
into a .txt)

a text file containing an address where you can go to find a box of Adventure Mode cutscenes
