Even though we live in a world where race actually makes a difference in the way people live?

Saying you're "colorblind" doesn't make racism go away for everyone.
um woosh
race makes a difference in life
race doesn't make any difference as a person

Even though race will substantially define how you are treated? As with outward appearance in general?
That a kind black kid and a kind white kid will be treated differently to some people.

Acting like because you couldn't care less about color doesn't really help if you're not the one educating them, employing them, or making decisions in their government. Those are things that take more than "race doesn't matter!" to fix.

Everyone knows race shouldn't matter, but it still matters to people that aren't you.

you just keep missing bud

you just keep missing bud
Okay explain to me how suddenly pronouncing yourself void of bias towards any race can fix the problems in the world, even though other people don't share your same views.

Or provide some kind of decent rebuttal.

How else is anyone going to interpret
other than some cry for equality with no plan?
Exactly as it is; a simplified explanation of my belief that people should be wary that we are all to some degree the same, and that judgement can't be based on one specific and unimportant factor like skin colour.

There are three truths of this world:

A) There can never be true peace or a perfect solution to the world's problems
B) There are no morals; only emotions and brain connections (logic)
C) We are all built to survive to varying degrees

Hopefully (A) explains myself a bit better. There is no possible solution. Africa is forgeted, sorry to say. There will always be tossers. That's why I don't want to plan towards a "perfect solution"; I want to find means to help the small percentage who I can.

Not the best example. "Some people" will always treat two different people differently, no matter how similar the two are.

I never said race doesn't make a difference in the world
I said race doesn't make a difference for how people act. A black and white kid raised in the same place will act similar.
In case you didn't realize, my post was a joke that we should just keep making fun of everyone who thinks race makes any difference to how people act. Because it doesn't.

As stupid as people on Tumblr can be, 'white privilege' definitely exists. If you don't think that being black grants people disadvantages in society, you are literally handicapped

If you raised a white kid and a black kid in two separate sealed boxes, yeah they would grow up pretty much the same. But people will /treat/ the black kid different in society, which already changes the kid's behavior. So even rearing doesn't make all that much of a difference if the rest of society /thinks/ you're a danger.

Not the best example. "Some people" will always treat two different people differently, no matter how similar the two are.
And certain groups of people are inclined to treat their own race better than others and give more oppritunities to their race.

Literally no one in the world claimed that race magically made you a better or worse individual.

So what is your point?

Okay but how does acknowledging a problem give people a way to solve it?

Race doesn't change how you are as a person but how does choosing not to acknowledge race issues help those who aren't as advantaged as you make a difference.

Literally no one in the world claimed that race magically made you a better or worse individual.
lmao stop right there

lmao stop right there
You really could've already stopped because you are making no point at all.

i don't have a lot of insight into the political/social validity of this in other regions so i'll just clarify that this is in the scope of the US

i don't believe there exists today any active, explicit oppression by a government body of non-white races. however, there has undeniably been a history of this for many in american history. we often times only look at black vs white because of the whole african slave trade deal of course, but other races have also been excluded or antagonised through the government in the past (almost always due to a social outcry for justice against scary immigrants). the residue, for lack of a better word, of this purposeful inhibition has had a lasting effect on these groups from generation to generation.

i believe that people are able to work hard, get educated, and become successful, but the fact of the matter is that many of these groups don't get such opportunities. they come from broken homes, broken cities, broken neighbourhoods, and come out broken people: unmotivated, uninspired, and generally unfamiliar with success on a grander scale. these people don't get to go to AAAAAA schools; they don't get to go to college; they don't get to equip themselves with the tools needed to succeed. they become used to getting what they want in secrecy or underhandedness because that's all they're ever able to do. and this passes on from generation to generation until someone decides to make things better for them collectively by attacking the problem at its actual source. and when that happens, everything goes uphill from there, and, honestly, the problem resolves itself.

those are my thoughts on the matter at least.

And certain groups of people are inclined to treat their own race better than others and give more oppritunities to their race.
I was trying to tell you that your example applies to literally every characteristic of a person, not just race.
