FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

enable fewer add-ons
you should NOT be reaching the limit
enable only the weapons and vehicles you are using for your server, and don't go ham on the filler bricks

you should NOT be reaching the limit

I have no weapons or vehicles on my server. Like, at all. I hit the limit with my colorset and ambient music (all of which was being used) for an atmospheric build. It's stupidly low and I don't understand why we can't at-least raise it in singleplayer or something.

You can destroy datablocks altogether with deleteDatablocks();

then you have too much ambient music
each music and sound adds exactly one datablock. colorset adds like 400
okay so on my server, without any weapons/vehicles other than default along with a few bricks, some music and a 64-color colorset i hit 1338 datablocks

if you are hitting 4086, this means you have around 2700 additional datablocks
if you have a few hundred in bricks and particles that still leaves

TWO THOUSAND DATABLOCKS IN SOUND ALONE

so i either call bs or you are using WAY too many music/sound files

Air.. I need air.

How are you in any position to tell me this? It's my build. Sound and ambient loops are practically the most important part of an atmospheric build.

it's probably not the music then

if the colorset is custom and you just have a stuff ton of colors the game has to make like, 4 datablocks per-color

also what the forget do you mean 'he's not in any position to tell you this'? you're making a build that's either so ludicrously fine and precise or ludicrously inefficient with it's resources that the game will literally not support it and you're lashin out at a guy sayin 'well in that case consider dropping some assets, because clearly the game will literally not support it

you can be atmospheric while reusing sounds, and even then i can't imagine any context when you'd need like 1600 out of 2000 datablocks in order to make a build immersive. like you'd probably need at max 10 or so per room, and then like 8 or 9 of those sounds could easily be reused throughout the rest of the build anyway

colorset adds like 400

Max colors in a colorset = 64.
64 x 4 = 256.
