Author Topic: how do i get good at building  (Read 1324 times)

i didn't even need to practice. my building skill has remained the same as it did since i first joined. while i do (quite often) try to make very 'unsafe' builds, using unconventional colors, bricks, and styles, my building skill has stayed the same for as long as i can remember. it might not be the same for you however, so i advise you to practice. try to adopt new techniques by copying.

steal styles from other builders. I did it all the time. there is no other way to survive

i don't build beccause i get so mad at how bad i am i just don't build

try different things

i found out im really bad at things like spaceships but good at terrain

get some brick packs and use a good variety of them in your builds

also get a decent colorset

Practice means perfect.

But nothing is perfect, so why practice?

Trueno's is an excellent all-around colorset, but it's definitely missing some colors that you might want for a specific build.

I don't exactly like it when I'm building houses; it's missing too much.

Learn how to use a Blockland Macro.  They're super useful if you ever need to repeat multiple building actions.  If I were to say, make a circle, I could record myself making 1/4th of the circle and then just play back the macro for the other 3 corners.  Doesn't exactly make you better at building.  But it would certainly make you faster.

Use a lot of detail, instead of using one wall brick, remember that ceilings are higher than just head level, so use more bricks as a border on the walls and other plates to make the wall higher, and to add detail to the outside, say, a flower bed.

This should be in the help section and also just do it a lot you will eventually get good at it.

Keep practicing and don't be afraid to try new things
