ETHIOPIA YEAAAHHHHH

The known world to us:

We currently see most of the old world, we will discover more either by getting the exploration idea or by letting the Europeans explore for us;

But look at us! Puny little Ethiopia, seen as misguided heretics by the Europeans and as heathens by our Muslim neighbors. Lets hope that changes soon.

I'm going to do a run down of what's going on at the moment and then give you some options.

We have 7 thousand troops to the south, and 1 thousand in our capital.

We have 62 ducats, around 18,000 manpower, neutral stability, 4 prestige, and 100 legitimacy currently (ignore the sword). We also have two merchants, 0 colonists, 2 diplomats, and 1 missionary. The paper and quill, the dove, and the two swords are our current administration, diplomatic, and military points. They increase by the monarchs points every month and are used for various things, including technology, stability, and buildings.

We can build a level two fort in all of our provinces, which will boost the missionary strength by .1% and the supply limit of our troops by .5%. It also increases defense by 1. Each fort will cost 50 ducats and 10 military points to build. It would take 12 months for each one.

Our king, Zara Yakob Solomonid, has great stats, with having a 6 in admin points and a 5 in diplo and military points. He's 28.
Our heir however, is terrible. He's a 1/2/1, if he comes to power we'll be in a sticky situation. He's 24.

We have the most power in the Ethiopia trade node, as it should be. I'll handle trade most of the time.

Our economy is stable, yet it's going slow. We're only getting 2 ducats per month, but i sent a merchant to collect from our trade node, so we should be getting a small boost.

We are balanced in tech with most other nations we can see. The southern Africans are below us though. At least we're superior to someone.

We mostly have grains for us to trade, but there's some cocoa, a little yarn and cotton, and 1 iron and 1 copper province.

Our culture group, the dark blue is our main culture. We have some Sidadmo to our southern border.

The autonomy is more available to the south, but it's at 0 to the north do to that being where are main culture lies.

The religion mapmode. Our people are mostly Coptic, but Sunni are to the east. Our northern neighbor has a signifigant Coptic population that we may gain a casus belli for.

We can't convert our Sunni population at the moment, but building forts there may help.

Other nations opinions of us are mostly neutral, but we have negative relations with Adal to the east.

We have some mission available. We can fortify a province for some bonuses, improve relations with a nation, or conquer a province to our north.

We can also set rivals, which will decrease our relations with them but boosts with other nations rivaled to them. It also increases our chances of gaining a free casus belli with them.

Well that's basically it. So what do we do? Improve relations, build shtuff, fabricate claims, gain alliances, build troops>????????////?/../ The list goes on!!1

Also chose a mission please, and at most 2 rivals, 3 max (even though there are only 3 we can pick :I)

I think we should fortify Begmeder, but that is just my opinion.

How many troops does Adal have?

We might be able to brown townly rape them+vassalize them in the peace deal.

Then you can feed him the other horn-states and then annex him later in the game.

sorry for not responding

eu4 decided to be a butt and not save my game, so the mission is for our capital, but it gives the same bonuses, we i picked that

i can see 4 thousand on our border, but they probably have 2 more thousand further in.

so, so far we just chose a mission, should we declare war on Adal?

this just like died lol

I would say we go for Adal

Alight, i declared a war on Adal after I fabricated a claim. I'll get more game info later as i'm about to leave for around 2 hours. i'll post around then.

don't forget to vassalize them and feed them all of the countries (check if they have any claims though, if they don't, just either take all of their stuff or take some of their stuff or just release some countries they ate.)

alright so we went to war with adal

they were allied with najd which did nothing the entire time, and we got an alliance with alodia while i was fabricating a claim

we went to occupy their capital which had their entire army, and we won our first battle. yay

after occupying their capital, we went for the rest of the country

after doing that, i got a piece where we got the northern part of the country, 6 ducats, and them as a vassal. since the small northern country declared war on adal too, we would get dragged into the war against them.

the new war screen (notice that najd's on our side now)

after beating them up a bit, i was able to make them accept a white piece

this is our diplomatic situation

we have a claim on the coast of the country we were just at war at, we still need to core the provinces we've taken, and a peasants war is on the horizon. what do we do now? (i would suggest improving relations with our new vassal improving our internal situation a bit to keep the revolts to the minimum)

bump, I'm camping so I can't get to the computer
