I thought bans were for threatening to leave permanently because they were actually pleas for sympathy or desperate grabs for attention. I guess there was no reason to announce the taking of a break because it draws attention but??

i don't know, this ban still feels off to me but i can't really object to it

Tomorrow is the 12th, OP posted this topic on the 5th.... We might be doomed if baddy made this one a weekly ban.

There's a red message in a blue window at the top of the screen. It says that you're banned and cannot post or send PMs. It also shows your ban reason and ban time (unless you are permanently banned, when the time limit doesn't appear at all).

You can still view the forums, just there's this red box at the top that says: "Sorry [username], you're banned from posting and sending personal messages on this forum.

[ban reason here]"

Sorry for bumping a thread that's technically now irrelevant, but how is saying you're taking a break from posting the same as saying you quit, or even a plea for sympathy? I don't really see why he was banned.

I mean, yeah he said he was going to be inactive, but he's still reading the forums and playing blockland, just not posting. I fail to see how it's the same.

It's a plea for attention, just like "im leaving forever" posts.

We really shouldn't care if he leaves or not, especially if he wasn't well liked.
If he really wanted people to know, he couldve told people who would've been effected over steam or something; however, anyone effected by newspeed leaving should probably take a break from the forums too.
