Author Topic: Possible optimization for shaders?  (Read 1240 times)

I play blockland alot and on a City RPG, now, theres a lot of bricks and I have fairly decent specs.
A GTX 660, i5, and 8gb of ram.
i can have max shaders on on most servers, yet a city rpg i play i cant. theres around 99237 bricks, and i cant really have shaders on or my fps goes down, but it doesnt on other servers.
I can play other games at maximum settings perfectly fine! for example, watch dogs, and some other games.

NOEDIT: if there is, is there any optimized shading out there that can fix this?

Do realise that, while games like Watch Dogs are designed to handle large, static scenes along with a relatively small amount of complex, dynamic shapes, Blockland is meant to handle (generally) up to 256,000 non-static, non-persistent, potentially complex brick shapes at once, along with however many players, vehicles, items, etc. that need to be rendered. Consider turning shader settings down on larger builds or lowering your draw distance in the advanced options. Lowering draw distance will also increase shadow sharpness.
