That's because those other games are likely using DirectX (which most companies prioritize compatability with) instead of OpenGL. Either way, your hardware is too old to run them well, even on low.

Blockland doesn't use the same game engine as other games you have played. Torque's Advanced Lighting System is different from other games and their lighting systems.
I believe Badspot and Rotondo along with other users have stated that Intel Graphics have problems rendering Torques Lighting system. This is probably mostly because Intel was never really good at graphics in the first place, their strong point is processors. Go with nVidia or ATI. You can get a cheap ATI card for 40-50 bucks that can run blockland with shaders on low to medium. There are some good vNidia card for cheap too, but generally nVidia is more expensive than ATI

Sorry bout the huge bump but I looked closer at my pc and it also has something to do with AMD radeon R9 200 series I don't know if it helps or not

if it says you have 2 GPUs, the Intel integrated and an AMD Radeon in the same laptop, the Radeon is probably a dedicated GPU you need to activate, most commonly through BIOS or a button on the keyboard

This method is NOT accessible through Steam, because the launcher is hidden within the web document shortcut (default shortcut for steam) that sends you to the game. The link goes something like this: steam://rungameid/(gameid) (dont click) It is hidden within this link, but you cant do this unless you have a original copy... Yeah.
