Author Topic: So the last episode of the Colbert Report is airing tonight  (Read 1039 times)

The last episode of the Colbert Report will be airing tonight before Stephen takes over The Late Show, where he will not be doing his Colbert character.

I'm sad to see the show go, even if I haven't watched it in a few months. I used to watch it every day (well, Monday through Thursday) and now it'll be gone after nine years of running. I am happy for him, though; this is a huge step in his career.

I'm curious if they will kill off his character.

Will you guys be watching?

I googled "Baby Mubles" and look what is the first video that showed up

"Electrk"

it would be so funny if they did a mock assassination it kinda cap it all off

I'm not a fan of him. For something like news and politics, we shouldn't be given characters.
John Stuart can be himself while giving us all the same info and still be funny. Colbert is just a sad gimmick.

End of an era. Hope he does well on Late Night or whatever he's going on to do.

forget man :(

luckily, from seeing him on who's line and stranger's with candy, i know colbert can do more than just be colbert. the guy is a genius. hopefully he does well

all pundits are characters. that's why they say "the news with joe blow". anderson cooper and bill o 'reilly and sean hannity and rachael maddow - those are who he's making fun of. personally, i think that the colbert report is less of a news show and more of a news critique.

I believe they're comedy shows first and foremost rather than news and event reporting.

I'm not really a huge fan of Colbert and Stuart though. I'll watch it when someone else in the house is watching and get a few chuckles, but they always seem like they're trying way too hard to be funny. More so Stuart than Colbert.

never saw the pusillanimous individual riot episode, just saw it

those russians were hot
