Cave Story's 10th birthday is now today

the game incredibly depressing to me. it feels like the world is almost completely empty. the cave doesn't seem that big either to me

completing cave story legitly is on my list of 'gaming achievements', along with getting the 'veni, vidi, vici!' trinket in VVVVVV, and hopefully, one day, completing Hyper Hexagonest on Super Hexagon

I beat the normal ending. I never finished the good ending though, with the goddamned falling blocks and cupids

I can never beat the good ending because of a few problems

• Secret Final Cave's extreme difficulty
• I can almost never find the health upgrades/I'm too lazy to find them
• Even without those it can be difficult at times

Still, though, I find it to be a incredibly fun game, and I really hope a sequel comes out at some point. That'd be wonderful.

i only managed to get the good ending by cheating
the good ending is a loving nightmare to get i swear to god

i barely resisted cheating for the final bossfight for the bad ending but i'm glad i did

if you talk to chako twice after the doctor fights, the mimiga in the cages will spawn hearts for you
