First link is about how TPB somehow got their domain back. I'm not supporting piracy, it's just odd how they reclaimed the domain. The site wouldn't load for me, but it appears to be a waving black flag.

The second link is about hosting a open-source torrent site with your own database.

Again, not supporting piracy, I'm mainly talking about the sites. Torrents CAN be used for other things, you know.

Thats all it is, a black flag as of now.

Torrents CAN be used for other things, you know.

The protocol is legal, yes. The website, not so much.

I remember when they said the site was raid proof
haha good times

The site is raid proof, no one said anything about the servers.

finally, thank gawd man, it made it so hard for me to get those totally legal torrents for a while.

id rather not get banned for sarcasm actually, I DO NOT CONDONE PIRATING lel

Basically the domain pointed to a server for a bit, now it doesn't point to that server.

The site is raid proof, no one said anything about the servers.
p sure it's the other way around but i'm not super-familiar with the specifics

i think the data is scattered around and the website is just a front-end to vomit it out in extreme summary

The website/servers is the front-end while the back-end (all of the magnets, data, ect.) are all in the cloud.

AKA raid-proof.

All they need to do is to get another front-end.

Raid-resistant is more accurate. The raid took down the front end distribution server, but none of the content servers. So, it's kind of like when your TV breaks, you can't watch cable, but it's all still there. All you gotta do is get a new TV and plug it in. All they gotta do is plug in a new server and point it to the content servers.

Yes, it's pretty common in Europe. And thanks to David Cameron I can't even visit research sites without ringing up my ISP.
