Author Topic: People Can't Connect To Server  (Read 2428 times)

One of the two servers I host wont allow people to join sometimes, the Ping will be --- and they will just get this.

Is there anyway to fix this issue?

You must have Disable UPnP toggled and depending on router configuration some people like me can't join. Just set it to whatever your trench wars server is using.

I can't access the router, it's a NFOServers VPS.

This used to happen when I hosted TF2 Servers, If you have more than one server then one of the servers will struggle UNLESS you make sure the second server is on a different port. Example: Say your first port is 100, You could make your second one 101 and it should stop any issues.

Forward ur ports. Disable firewall.

Are the servers running on different ports and are both ports forwarded?

No no, it's a Blockland setting under Network options,
Also, as far as i saw, some players were able to join the server while others were not, which leads me to believe that it's the UPnP issue.

Not too hard to check out http://master2.blockland.us/ or start Blockland up to see for yourself.
Much faster than waiting for a reply.
And also it's a hosting service, the ports should already be fowarded, shouldn't it?

This seems to be a fairly common issue with Blockland with no luck at what exactly causes it or any good solid solutions.
I'd suggest changing the ports to something else, or shut down the server for a minute and start it back up to see if that helps at all.

For Blockland ports I keep 28000 - 28032 open, and keep UPnP enabled. Works for me.

I tried re-adding Blockland to bypass firewall again, it worked. I don't know what the forget windows is doing.
