Author Topic: I forgot my password to my ipod  (Read 1150 times)

It's a 4th gen and I haven't used it in a year so I decided to dig it up, so I found it, charged it blah blah blah, but I realized I forgot my password, and because my computer sucks ass it won't open up the Internet at all, and this is where I stand, how do I unlock an iPod touch 4th gen without a computer

A lot of time and a notepad. Start at 0000 and in about 3 years you'll make it to 9999.

Good luck, mate.

try to guess as many passwords as possible

Gonna have to do a factory reset.

give it some tree leaves to smoke
lol'd

But really, there's nothing you can do other than a lucky guess.

Is it the lock passcode or the apple account password

If it's the first then you gotta either try really hard to figure it out or completely wipe the device, though I think you can also take it to an apple store and they can use special software to do it.
If it's the second, you gotta use password recovery.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

whats with mobile devices having passwords. you either have it or you lost it. the price of the device is more of a loss then all my "sensitive data" that i could protect lol

i mean i can see passwording phones and tablets because they have personal info that you might not want any roommates/siblings seeing

but an ipod?? A MUSIC PLAYER??

An iPod touch isn't just a music player moron. It stores pictures, notes, videos, contacts, voice memos, anything you want on it. All of the information on it can potentially be sensitive information.

AKA an Iphone that can't make a call or text.
